Olivier Giroud probably should have had a Chelsea exit sorted out by now.

That he hasn’t would suggest either the player, his agent or the Premier League club have been too stubborn.

If Giroud has waited the whole window for Inter Milan, dismissing other options along the way, and finds himself without a transfer then he can probably only blame himself.

The French media talked up Inter Milan interest to be stronger than what was said in Italy, which suggests it was coming from someone close to the Chelsea man.

Premier League clubs have been linked, with more present in recent days, but Friday’s edition of L’Equipe doesn’t believe Giroud is now going to move.

‘Unless there’s a miracle’ the Frenchman will stay where he is, because Chelsea have been unable to bring a replacement in.

Once again Inter interest is talked up, but it’s stated Chelsea have ‘backed away in recent days’.

Had Inter interest been as firm as presented then there’s a good chance the move would have been done earlier, without the French media having to blame the Blues.
