Another day, another claim from Italy that Juventus are eyeing up an Alvaro Morata return but are scared about the cost.

Tuttosport have a big piece on Anthony Martial and the Frenchman potentially moving to Turin. Having a few troubles at Old Trafford, it’s hoped a bargain deal could be found in the summer window.

As an alternative there’s Morata, who moved from Real Madrid to Juventus, back to Madrid and then on to Chelsea for around €80m.

It’s that figure which is scaring the Turin media, as they know Chelsea won’t want to take a big loss and also know Juventus would be very unlikely to go near such a figure for the Spanish striker.

So, Tuttosport say any move could use the ‘unique formula’ of Juan Cuadrado’s prolonged loan transfer, which then turned into a permanent deal.

That way Chelsea were allowed to amortise the cost of the Colombian’s signing, string things out, and save a bit of face.

It’s got to be considered unlikely they’d go for such a formula with Morata, he’s hardly a disaster and surely has some market if Chelsea want to sell him.

Perhaps the Turin media are being a little optimistic about the possibilities, and it’s more crucial what Roman Abramovich and co would make of such a scenario.
