After having spent the second half of the last season on loan with Leganes, Martin Braithwaite earlier made it clear that he has no plans of returning to Middlesbrough.

The La Liga club’s sporting director, Txema Indias has already confirmed his side’s desire to sign the Denmark international this summer.

AS claims the forward is close to joining Leganes and is expected to sign a three or four deal.

Boro were hoping to recover the majority of the €12m they paid to Toulouse in 2017. They were initially demanding €8m, but the deal is now believed to be agreed for €5m.

Jonathan Woodgate’s side decided to lower their economic demands because they not only had to free up cash by selling the player, but also get him off their wage list. Braithwaite was earning €3m per season.

The Dane’s desire to continue with Maurico Pellegrino’s side also played a role in helping Leganes to sign him.

AS also claims Leganes should announce the signing of Malaga’s Roberto Rosales and a loan deal for Watford’s Marc Navarro. The Hornets player’s temporary deal, along with Rosales and Braithwaite’s transfers, are expected to be announced today.

The transfers taking the three players to Leganes have also been reported by Marca.
