Atlético Madrid’s Álvaro Morata arrived in Turin on Monday to close his transfer to Juventus.
According to AS, Diego Costa’s continuity at the Madrid club is far from certain, and the La Liga side will bring in a replacement if he leaves before the window closes.
It’s claimed Watford’s Luis Suárez has been identified as one of the targets by Diego Simeone’s side.
Atlético sporting director Andrea Berta is handling a few names to replace the former Chelsea striker, and the Hornet’s frontman and Espanyol’s Raúl de Tomás are viewed as ‘options’.
Should they be successful, Atlético will then need to sign two new forwards to replace Morata and Costa.
The Watford player emerging as a target for Simeone’s side has also been backed up in today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.
Both AS and Mundo state the Colombian is identified as one of the targets to replace Costa and provide no additional information.
Suárez returned to Vicarage Road after impressing during his loan stay at Real Zaragoza last season, scoring 19 goals and registering six assists in 38 league appearances.
