A year after arriving at Manchester United, Alex Telles could be on the move again if clubs interested in him can find an agreement with the Old Trafford side.
AS Roma need to strengthen the left-back position following Leonardo Spinazzola’s serious injury while on Italy duty at the Euros and they have their eyes set on Telles.
The 28-year-old is an ‘alternative’ for the Serie A side, but the ‘difficulties are evident’ for José Mourinho’s side to get the deal over the line.
That’s what Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting today and add the Giallorossi want to take the defender on a loan deal, while the Old Trafford club want to include obligation to buy as a part of the deal.
However, Roma are not the only club who are after the Brazilian as Inter Milan are also working to sign the fullback.
According to Calciomercato, Giuseppe Marotta is looking to take an experienced left-back on a low cost or even on loan and Telles ‘represents the opportunity’.
The player spent 2015/16 season on loan at the San Siro and the Italian champions are ‘working’ on bringing in a new left-back, even if they position is covered by Ivan Perišić and Federico Dimarco.
The Croatian is on the market and Telles’ arrival could push him out of the club.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side initially invested €15m on signing the left-back and the report states United would like a similar amount to sell him this summer.
If Inter go with Telles and Dimarco as their two left-backs, Calciomercato explain the Brazilian will be the first choice player Simone Inzaghi next season.
