Turkish website Ajansspor claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks.
Ajansspor journalist Salim Manav reports the Turkish giants are interested in the 20 year old and Selahattin Baki is playing key role in getting a deal done.
Baki was on the board at Sheffield United, but after Ali Y. Koc was recently elected as Fenerbahce’s new president he returned to Turkey and is now a director with the Turkish club.
According to Ajansspor, Fenerbahce are in the mix to sign the Sheffield United player but there’s no indication whether it’s a loan or permanent one.
Fernerbahce are looking to bring in youngsters this summer in order to address their ageing squad. A number of English based players have already been linked with the Turkish giants in recent weeks.
Brooks enjoyed a good debut season in the Championship and played 30 games for Sheffield United, scoring three goals. He’s under contract with the Blades until June 2021.
