Thomas Tuchel has blocked Trevoh Chalobah from leaving Chelsea, with Inter Milan having pushed to take the player to Italy.
That’s according to FC Inter News, who say ‘Tuchel blocks everything’, forcing the Italian club to look elsewhere.
They explain that there is an ‘impasse’ on the potential deal taking Chalobah to Inter as the German manager has made it clear he has ‘no intention’ of losing the youngster either on loan or in a permanent sale.
He would only give the green light to a possible deal if Wesley Fofana was added to his squad first.
That’s unlikely to happen at present as Leicester are continuing to block Chelsea’s efforts to sign the player, despite the Blues continuing to up their bids for him and the player making it clear he wants the move.
The two clubs continue to negotiate on that front and that has left Chalobah in limbo as Tuchel does not want to see his squad, and particularly his defence, further reduced by departures.
Therefore, it seems he is blocking any deal from happening for the time being, although that could change if Chelsea can finally get a deal for Fofana over the line.
That doesn’t suit Chalobah, though, who ‘pushes to leave London’ via his agents and is looking at his other options to do so.
One of those could be RB Leipzig, who would be ready to spend €20-25m if they can sell Mohamed Simakan.
AC Milan could also be interested, although they would prefer a €3m loan with a €30m right to buy included in the deal.
