AC Milan’s need to see the back of Andre Silva has increased this week with the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
Not only will the Argentina make it even harder for Silva to get the game time he so clearly needs, but he’s also took the 22 year old’s shirt number.
Handing the 9 to Higuain is as clear a sign as any that Silva is very much on the exit ramp.
Calciomercato report that Milan have now pretty much given up hope of getting anything like the €38m they paid to Porto for the striker a year ago. The best outcome for them right now is a loan and it’s likely going to have to be on the terms of whoever takes him.
Wolves and AS Monaco are again pushed forward as solutions for the Portugal international, but both options would be a loan with a right of redemption. Therefore it’s a temporary answer for the Italian club.
It’s the Jorge Mendes link which is bringing Wolves and Monaco into the picture repeatedly and with the English window only having a few days left the options could narrow further over the next week.
