Jeremy Toljan is set for a transfer to Celtic, according to claims coming out of Germany.
The Borussia Dortmund player is expected to make the move ‘in the coming hours’, report Fussball Transfers, according to their own information.
It’s stated the move will initially be on loan, and Brendan Rodgers’ club will have an option to make it permanent in the summer transfer window.
The potential move had been reported by both the Scottish and German media, but isn’t being given a whole lot of attention by the media closest to Borussia Dortmund.
That’s likely because the player hasn’t been featuring for the Bundesliga club, and hasn’t even been making it to match-day squads.
The hope will be that Toljan can convince Celtic to use their option and sign him in the next transfer market.
A right footer, the 24 year old is mainly a right back but can play further forward or on the left if needed, so could be a useful addition to Celtic’s squad.
