Manchester United’s priority should be to bring in a new attacker in the next transfer window as they have struggled to find the back of the net this season.
Juventus’ Mario Mandžukić has been discussed as one of the key targets for the Red Devils in the Italian media.
Calciomercato.it reported on Friday United are ‘ready to offer’ around €10-12m to the Old Lady and give a two-year contract to the Croatian worth €5m per season. It was even claimed a deal should be done ‘in the coming weeks’.
The 33-year-old has been pulled out of training, which has already been confirmed by Maurizio Sarri.
“Mandzukic is not training with us, in agreement with the club. If the agreement changes, I am open to everything,” the Turin club’s manager said on Friday in his press conference.
The former Bayern Munich man has been linked with several clubs over the last few days, but TuttoMercatoWeb now claims the possibility of him joining United is ‘most concrete’ one now.
It’s further explained Mandžukić will leave Juventus in January and his sale should help them earn €10m in transfer fee. There’s no doubt put on it, a transfer is taken as certain.
