Nottingham Forest’s recent transfer business with Benfica will inevitably lead to endless rumours linking the two clubs in further transfer deals.
With Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute brokering the recent deals for Nottingham Forest and Benfica, a Wolves style scenario has been pushed forward by some.
That may well be a longer term plan, but A Bola report goalkeeper Bruno Varela is unlikely to be part of it.
After Varela was linked with the Championship club, A Bola have done some digging and found out the Forest option is ‘not being considered’ and it’s not on the table right now.
Benfica are looking for around €15m from a sale and will consider a loan if they feel it could help increase the player’s value for a future transfer.
Whilst there’s no involvement from Nottingham Forest at the moment, there’s every chance of Mendes and Benfica offering the player if they fail to find interest elsewhere.
