There haven’t been a lot of negative points since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at Manchester United, but Eric Bailly getting sent off is one of them.
There’s not a great deal of quality to choose from in defence for the interim manager, and Bailly facing a ban will be an irritation at least, especially considering the team were coasting against Bournemouth.
Seville sport newspaper Estadio Deportivo report on Wednesday that Bailly is ‘on the table’ at Sevilla, and his transfer in the January window is a ‘very interesting possibility’.
Bailly excelled at Villarreal which saw him move to Manchester United, and it would be considered he’d have no problems settling back into La Liga.
The suggestion is a loan would be the likeliest possibility, unless a ‘high offer’ arrived.
With Solskjaer not having great depth in quality for his central defensive options, it’s got to be considered unlikely he’d be keen to let Bailly go during the winter window… unless a good replacement is found first.
Bailly is 24 years of age and has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2020.
