Carlo Ancelotti has very quickly worked his way into the hearts of Everton fans.
The Italian manager has got the Toffees up to seventh in the Premier League, and should things continue positively it will help the club in the summer window.
Not only will Everton be more convinced to back their coach in the market, but players will also be attracted to a project which would be sold as a realistic push for Champions League football in the future.
The same positivity isn’t present at Napoli, with the club losing three of their last five games in Serie A. Ancelotti has received plenty of digs from media close to the Naples side, suggesting their woes are down to him.
Such a stance isn’t helped by Everton’s success, though.
Another slant the Naples media have been pushing is interest from Goodison Park in several players at Ancelotti’s former side.
Hirving Lozano has been repeatedly mentioned, although it appears that’s more through Napoli hope than anything concrete.
Ciro Venerato is a Napoli specialist and has spoken to CN24 about it all: “Lozano at Everton? I don’t know to date, maybe Napoli wishes it. The club would be happy, Ancelotti also likes Allan and Zielinski. Lozano was one of his pupils, but I don’t know if he’s already talked about him with Mino Raiola. To me it seems more a wish for Napoli than a real negotiation.”
Napoli are currently eleventh in Serie A, with Lozano struggling for minutes.
