Newcastle ‘ready to pay’ for January signing – Transfer to Magpies considered ‘valid’

On November 19th, we relayed news from Italy that Newcastle United are on pole to sign Aaron Ramsey in the winter market.

The midfielder, who has lost prominence under Massimiliano Allegri, has featured only five times in all competitions this season. An injury has kept him on the sidelines since the last international break.

Calciomercato.it now claim the 30-year-old’s name is ‘circled in red’ to leave the Serie A side next month.

The Old Lady are unhappy with the Wales international and in order to get rid of his €7m net annual salary, they are ‘ready to listen to offers’. There are a few ‘valid tracks’ for Ramsey to change clubs and one of them is ‘leading to Newcastle’.

In order to bring the ex-Arsenal man back to the Premier League, the ‘financial availability appears unlimited’ for the Magpies, who are backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

The Tyneside club are one of the sides who are ‘ready to pay’ a fee to Juventus, to acquire the Welshman’s services. A move to Newcastle in January is one of the ‘most popular possibilities’ for Ramsey.

It remains to be seen whether Eddie Howe’s side can meet Juve’s request to secure the player’s services in January.
