The Italian media continues to have high expectations of Christian Eriksen’s move to Inter Milan, and a proof of it is that FC Inter News are doing a live blog this evening.
The website claims that Tottenham have been demanding €15m up initially for the midfielder, with other €5m in ‘simple’ performance bonuses.
Inter Milan have offered the €15m, but only €2m in bonuses considered easy to achieve, with the other €3m more difficult.
Spurs want the €5m to all be made up of realistic bonuses.
Even on Inter’s terms, this looks like a win for Daniel Levy. The Premier League club have been asking for €20m throughout, and Inter started by offering €8m.
Although Tottenham keep playing hardball, according to FC Inter’s latest update, there’s a meeting being held in a hotel in Milan, right now, to sort things out.
Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio is said to with Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots and other intermediaries in a conference call with Tottenham’s board.
The website says the next few hours should be ‘decisive’ as the parties have been really trying to find an agreement this time.
Update: FCInterNews have just reported (at 19:44) that Tottenham have accepted an offer from Inter for €15m plus €5m in bonuses.
