Fabio Paratici’s arrival at Tottenham meant the club would likely become more focused on the Italian market. That’s already seen two transfers arrive, with goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini and defender Cristian Romero both arriving from Atalanta.
Tottenham have also been repeatedly linked with others in Serie A, and Sunday’s big Lautaro Martinez claims created something of a drama, only for his agent to later insist the striker doesn’t want to move.
Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu is another one to have been linked. Tutto Bologna Web say Spurs are still keen on the defender, who can operate in the centre or as a right-back.
The report states a new offer is expected to arrive from the Premier League club, and that they’re willing to pay £20m to get a deal done. Spurs have been on the case for a while, having already found an agreement with the player.
Bologna want €25m, so there’s a small difference between that and the expected offer.
Tomiyasu himself is keen on a move to English football, and will have to wait and see if the clubs can reach an agreement.
