Tottenham will face strong competition to sign Riccardo Calafiori in the summer, with Juventus now showing interest in the youngster.
That’s according to Oggi Sport Notizie, who say they have exclusive information about the developing race around the defender.
Tottenham were linked with a move for Calafiori around the middle of last month, with it explained that Spurs were hovering around the player, even making contact.
That had been proceeded by numerous reports in Italy claiming they were keen on the youngster, with one two days before even saying they had been in contact over a move.
It seems they will face competition for his signature, though, with Oggi Sport Notizie reporting that Juventus are eyeing Calafiori as a replacement for Alex Sandro, who will leave in the summer.
Their interest in Calafiori is ‘very strong’, with Juventus keeping a close eye on his performances for Bologna, where he’s impressed under Thiago Motta.
They’re targeting Calafiori as a new centre-back but like that he can play at left-back and in midfield. The Italian giants are not the only ones keen as AC Milan and Inter Milan are also in the mix.
That’s prompting the Old Lady into action as they try to not only get ahead of their compatriots but also Premier League clubs, specifically Tottenham.
