The Adrien Rabiot situation continues to rumble on over in France, but it appears that we are edging closer to a conclusion, whatever that may be.
According to Paris United on Tuesday, a meeting is expected to take place at some point after the Red Star game (so we’re guessing Wednesday, meaning today?), where everyone involved in the renewal will sit down and try to hash things out.
Paris Saint-Germain still want to keep hold of their youth product, but clubs like Barcelona and Tottenham are lurking in the shadows, with Spurs ready to sign the 24-year-old in January.
Posting the update on their website, Paris United explain Barcelona have, via Eric Abidal, already offered Rabiot (verbally, not officially) a €10m/year contract with a similar amount as a signing on fee.
The La Liga side are expected to make an offer come January 1st should his Paris Saint-Germain situation remain the same.
As for Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino’s side also want to buy him as soon as possible, and are prepared to give him the €10m signing on fee he wants.
However, a €10m/year wage is ‘completely excluded’ by Daniel Levy and co., meaning some other agreement will have to be found in order to bring the France international to Wembley in the January window.
That’s where things allegedly stand, and when it comes to Paris Saint-Germain news, few outlets have been as reliable as Paris United in the past.
