Real Madrid’s Álvaro Odriozola was restricted to only 16 matches across all competitions last season and that included only 10 starts.

The right-back was on the bench for Los Blancos’ first two league matches of this term and his situation has caught attention of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs ‘want’ to sign the 25-year-old in the final days of the transfer window. That’s according to David Alonso, the editor of Onda Cero’s program, El Transistor.

Odriozola has three years left on his contract and for the north London club to make an approach, Alonso says ‘first they must release’ Serge Aurier.

The Ivory Coast international has entered his final year of contract and offloading him before the window closes ‘seems difficult’.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are not the only club looking at the Spaniard as Fiorentina have interest in the fullback.

It’s claimed the Serie A side have held talks with both Real Madrid and the player for a loan deal. Odriozola ‘needs to think about it’.

Spurs ‘want’ Odriozola, but a move for him will depend on them getting Aurier out of the club.
