It seems Tottenham Hotspur are about to miss yout on the signing of Franck Kessie from Barcelona.

Despite recent rumours saying Spurs were moving to get the 26-year-old signed, he may actually be headed to the Middle East.

That’s today reported by Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, as he claims that Kessie’s transfer to Al-Ahli is ‘getting hotter’.

The Saudi club are set to present a ‘big offer’ to Barcelona, although the numbers on the table aren’t really revealed.

Now, we shall see if Tottenham have any condition to compete with Al-Ahli, both in the bid for the transfer, as for the salary offered to the player.

It’s no secret that Barcelona are looking to let Kessie leave this summer, and reports from the Italian media yesterday claimed the Catalan side only wanted €15m for the transfer, and that would be no problem for Spurs.

The London side even seemed to have an advantage over Serie A sides who were interested in the midfielder, but now with Saudi competition, it seems the scenario changes a little, as the player may go after the big money rather than heading to Tottenham.
