Tottenham’s talks with Club Brugge for Antonio Nusa have ‘only just begun’ but Spurs are not beating around the bush and instead getting straight to the point on the matter.

That’s according to Het Nieuwsblad, who say while there is no deal yet, Tottenham are being direct in their efforts.

They explain that after Chelsea tried to tempt him away in the summer now it is Tottenham who are ‘pulling on the young international’s sleeve’.

Their editors have been able to confirm that talks with Club Brugge are underway, albeit they’ve only just begun, with the current idea being that Tottenham sign Nusa but leave him on loan in Belgium until the end of the season.

The two clubs are talking over a deal worth €30m, with a loan back to Club Brugge seen as an ‘ideal scenario for all parties’ as he could continue competing on three fronts in Belgium and develop further ahead of moving in the summer.

This is backed up by Norwegian journalist Arilas Ould-Saada who confirms that Tottenham have made formal contact with Club Brugge but not submitted a bid as yet.

That is expected to change soon, and he adds that Nusa is ‘determined’ to stay in Belgium until the end of the season, which may be why the clubs are discussing leaving him where he is for six months.

That will all be finalised in further talks, but the crux of the matter is that talks are underway between Tottenham and Club Brugge and there is a distinct feeling that a deal is more than attainable.
