Tottenham are in talks with Fiorentina over a move for Dusan Vlahovic, with a move for Lautaro Martinez now seeming unlikely.

That’s according to journalist Gianluigi Longari, who says talks are underway for the Serbian forward.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Fiorentina star for several months, with it believed they are ready to spend big this summer to add another forward to their squad alongside Harry Kane.

Reports over the last week or so had indicated they had turned their attention to Martinez and were ready to pay Inter’s huge asking price for him, but that became unlikely today when the Argentine’s agent confirmed he had no interest in leaving Inter.

Longari follows that path today, stating that Inter’s management don’t want to sell Martinez, and even €70m is ‘not enough’ to convince them into a sale.

That’s seemingly been passed on to Tottenham, who are now in ‘talks’ with Fiorentina over Vlahovic instead.

Longari offers no information in terms of an asking price for the 21-year-old, just that Tottenham have made their move.

It seems they will need to be quick about it, though, with him also confirming that Atletico Madrid are suitors, too, something we’ve also seen reported elsewhere today.
