Transfer deadline day at Barcelona has been absolute chaos, as the club look to do business before the window closes.
One of their major issues is Ousmane Dembele, with the Catalan side wanting to get rid of him this month given he’s refused to sign a renewal. There’s even been claims they could let the Frenchman leave on loan, because they don’t want him to be part of their plans for the coming months if he’s set to leave as a free agent.
Chelsea have been linked seriously on Monday, and now there are claims that Tottenham have been trying too.
Giacomo Iacobellis reports that Tottenham have been in talks ‘until a few minutes ago’, trying to agree a deal for Dembele. That was presumably for a loan deal until the end of the season, but it’s stated Spurs failed to find an agreement.
Catalan newspaper Sport are reporting similar, saying Tottenham have been in talks with Barcelona today, yet have now given up, after failing to find a solution.
