With Barça not interested in keeping Ousmane Dembele at the club, they’ve been trying to find a deal so they can get rid of paying for his salary for the remaining six months of his contract.

Now among the solutions on the table, AS reports a late move from Chelsea, who’d like to sign the attacker in a peculiar move.

According to their report, the Blues became interested in signing the player on a six-month loan, even though they don’t know what he’d plan to do in the summer.

In other words, Chelsea would have him for six months. Then he turns a free agent and could sign a deal with them or any other club he wants.

The report claims the operation is considered to be ‘complicated’, not only because of agreeing terms, but also because it’d need to be sorted in a short space of time.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is said to be an admirer, as ‘pushes’ for the move from London.

Meanwhile, Barça president Juan Laporta has just said publicly that the January solution for Dembele’s future is likely to be a Premier League club, and it’s now down to the player.

So there’s indeed a chance that could be the Blues.
