As you might have seen over the past couple of months, the situation surrounding Paulo Dybala at Juventus is now something Tottenham appear to be involved in.
More than once, Spurs have been linked as an interested party, as the Argentine was one of Fabio Paratici’s signings back when he was still in charge of such matters at the Serie A side.
With Antonio Conte keen to improve the current squad at his disposal going forward, a player of Dybala’s ilk would go a long way in adding more creativity and firepower, and would therefore be a great coup on a free transfer.
Down his end, the Argentina International would prefer to stay at Juventus if he could, but they aren’t making that easy, lowballing him with renewal offers.
That has led other clubs to try their luck, including Tottenham, as Calciomercato.it explain that the likes of Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Spurs ‘would have already taken their first steps towards the Argentine’.
However, as explained above, that’s not on the agenda for Dybala right now, and the same website quote La Stampa, who report the player ‘has refused all external offers that have been presented to him so far’.
It appears to just be a waiting game for now, and perhaps Tottenham will have more luck in a few weeks if Juventus still haven’t made him a renewal offer he’s happy with.
