Calvin Tshilumba probably won’t be a familar name to Tottenham Hotspur fans, in fact it’s not even a familar name with French football fans, as the 17 year old is still waiting to really break through.
Currently playing for Stade Lavallois, Tshilumba has certainly caught the eye of one of Mauricio Pochettino’s spies. L’Equipe report on Sunday that Tshilumba played for the first time as a Laval first team player on Friday, against Avranches.
The youngster is said to be receiving attention from other clubs, and one of those is Tottenham.
Not only have Tottenham shown an interest, but L’Equipe say they’ve also submitted a proposal to sign the player.
No further details are given, and it’s likely Tottenham’s French scouting network leading the way for Pochettino.
Tottenham are one of the Premier League clubs most interested in the French market, and that was further demonstrated by the signing of Georges-Kévin N’Koudou during the last summer transfer window.
Laval are a Ligue 2 club, and Calvin Tshilumba is a striker.
