This season is already one Nottingham Forest will likely want to forget in a hurry. Finding themselves in a relegation battle when they’d hope to be challenging at the other end of the table, Nottingham Forest are something of a mess both on and off the pitch.

Philippe Montanier is understandably under pressure and his own position has a huge amount of doubt attached to it, but according to a claim in France he’s still picking out potential recruits.

L’Equipe reports on Sunday that Montanier is keen to sign Abdou Traore for Nottingham Forest. The 28 year old midfielder currently plays for Bordeaux and has just six months remaining on his contract there.

It wouldn’t be the most exciting signing for Forest, but Montanier may well have been fed information that Traore could do a job for the Championship side, and come at a token fee.
