According to Turkish website Haber7, Tottenham Hotspur sent a scout to Istanbul to watch Vedat Muriqi in action when Fenerbahce played Antalyaspor on Friday night.
It’s reported Tottenham’s scouting team were present at the Ulker Stadium to follow the Kosovan striker’s performance and they will now present their report to Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Muriqi failed to prevent his team’s loss to Antalyaspor and he was kept quiet by the opposition throughout the game.
Haber7 claim Spurs officials will continue to monitor him until the end of the first half of the season, but Pochettino will be the one who instructs his club whether to enter into transfer talks, based on the scouting reports.
After a poor start to the season, the North London club may look to strengthen in attack and Muriqi could be seen as a back up to Harry Kane.
Muriqi has scored three goals in seven appearances for Fener this season and is under contract with the Super Lig club until June 2023.
