Tottenham Hotspur are expected to resume negotiations for Sporting midfielder Adrien Silva this week, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
As reported by the newspaper today, a representative from the London side will meet Sporting and the midfielder’s representatives in order to try to get to a deal.
Spurs already offered €20m for the player a few weeks ago, and now should offer something closer to the €30m demanded by the Lisbon club.
Tottenham’s first response to what Sporting was asking was pretty negative, say O Jogo, as Spurs don’t think the player is worth the price quoted.
Now the clubs try to find an agreement, maybe with more money up front and a few million in bonuses. The Lions are using the argument that Adrien is a national team regular to push the price up.
Record reported an interest from Everton on Sunday, and O Jogo reiterates it today. They say the Toffees have made an approach to become aware of Adrien’s transfer conditions.
