Towards the end of the summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur showed interest in AC Milan’s Franck Kessié.

There were even claims Fabio Paratici made an offer, but it was rejected by the 24-year-old star, whose contract expires at the end of the current season and is not close to signing a new deal.

According to Il Milanista, the midfielder is demanding a salary of €8m per year, while the Serie A side are not ready to go beyond €6.5m.

As things stand, it is ‘increasingly difficult’ for the two parties to reach an agreement over an extension.

The Ivory Coast international’s decision to not sign a new deal has had no bearing on his game time this season, having made his first appearance of this term in September, he has started in six league games so far.

Il Milanista points out Kessié’s role as a starter could change if ‘rumors about the farewell are confirmed’, meaning if he has made a decision to leave Milan.

Tottenham are still in the picture for him, however, and it’s claimed Spurs, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are the ‘interested spectators’ for the player, whose future is ‘further and further away’ from the Italian club.
