In a day where every Italian manager has been linked with a move to Tottenham, it’s refreshing to see a player story, albeit one involving him leaving the London club.
It comes from RMC Sport, who report that Spurs could sell Serge Aurier this summer, despite him making 26 appearances for the club this season in all competitions.
The quick article in their live tracker doesn’t say Tottenham will actively try to sell him, but it’s made clear the player ‘has an exit pass’ should Daniel Levy be presented ‘cheque of around €10m’ for his services.
Aurier, down his end, still loves his former club, and their interest hasn’t left him unmoved, although RMC are quick to point out the Ligue 1 side aren’t the only ones circling around the Spurs man.
Already trying their luck last year, Milan are still on the case, while Atlético Madrid could target him if they sell Kieran Trippier.
With a contract at Tottenham until 2022, this summer would be the best time for both Spurs and Aurier to part ways, and this could be an easy and smooth deal to pull off.
