Earlier today, we covered mutliple claims from Italy which explained Tottenham Hotspur are in pole position, even after Bayern Munich entered the race for Genoa’s Radu Drăgușin.
It was also stated that the north London club have made an official offer to the Serie A side and the latter are inclined to accept this proposal.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly Twitter, to provide a fresh update on the battle between Tottenham and Bayern for the defender.
He states Ange Postecoglou’s side and Genoa ‘reached a full agreement’ for the 21-year-old’s transfer ‘this morning’.
The journalist adds Spurs have offered €25m plus bonuses to Genoa and the Romania international is set to sign a deal until 2029 with them.
As it stands, there has been no official offer from the Bundesliga winners. If they still wish to secure his services, Plettenberg says the Bavarian club will have to act fast today. If not, Drăgușin is set to make a switch to Tottenham and sign a deal until 2029.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims Genoa waited for Bayern’s offer, which hasn’t arrived so far. Therefore, they have decided to go ahead with Spurs.
Whether Bayern’s interest was serious or not, it appears to have had the desired impact and pressured Tottenham.
