Tottenham Hotspur are one of the sides who are after Ajax’s Danilo Pereira da Silva, according to CalcioNapoli24.
It’s claimed Spurs have joined Benfica and Napoli in chasing the 21-year-old.
The forward arrived in Europe from Santos in 2017 and, after spending over two years with the Dutch club’s academy, made his debut for their first team earlier this year.
Danilo has only made three appearances for the Amsterdam based club’s first team and all of them came a month before the sport was suspended in March due to the Covid-19 crisis.
He has five goals in eight appearances for Ajax’s U21 side and can be deployed anywhere up front. The report adds the Brazilian’s profile has drawn attention from the Naples club.
With CN24 focusing on the Serie A side, they make it clear Napoli are not involved in any sort of negotiations for the attacker’s signing. At the end of the report, they state the north London club and Benfica are also after him.
The South American’s contract with the Eredivisie is until 2022 and the website are of the belief Danilo’s valuation is around €4-6m.
We’ll now have to wait and see if José Mourinho would actually want his side to sign Danilo, who has played less than 100 minutes for Ajax’s first team, since he normally likes to go for more experienced options.
