With Lucas Moura speaking this weekend to the Brazilian media and restating his desire of moving back to São Paulo one day, many people started wondering when this return will be possible.
So journalist André Hernan now comes up with an update on this subject, bringing both the opinion from the winger’s staff as well as the stance from his former club.
First speaking of the player’s plan, it’s said his priority is to stay in Europe, as despite not getting many chances to play at Tottenham under Antonio Conte, he still has a market in other leagues.
Now in case he returns to Brazil, his priority is a comeback to São Paulo, as he’s been telling his friends about that.
According to Hernan, it’s known that Lucas would be a very expensive player, but in case he chooses to move to Brazil, his former club feel an urge to be the first to speak to him.
The winger’s contract with Tottenham expires in the summer of 2023, so there’s hope from São Paulo he could be a free agent next year.
Still, Spurs have an option to extend the deal, so it’s all in the London side’s hands.
However, it’s claimed that so far, there have been no contacts regarding a new contract.
