Sevilla are set to make a new effort to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports from Spain.

Outlet Mucho Deporte today writes that after having that operation parked for a while, the La Liga side could make an attempt before the window closes next week.

Gil is said to be wanted by manager Jorge Sampaoli, especially because of his previous experience in La Liga, and his situation at Tottenham makes this signing more possible.

It’s said that Sevilla’s intention is to sign Gil on a loan with an option to buy.

That isn’t very simple because of the competition, as besides clubs from France and Italy, their local rivals Valencia and Villarreal are interested in the player as well.

Bryan Gil only has 306 minutes played in ten appearances this season, and that’s why Tottenham probably wouldn’t make it hard for him to leave the club.

Furthermore, now that they completed the signing of Arnaut Danjuma, the Spaniard is said to be ‘looking for a way out’ of the Premier League side, and ‘wants’ the comeback to his former club, which he considers his ‘home’.

For now, though, Sevilla are still to move, and the next few days will clearly be decisive.
