Earlier this month, we covered a report from AS, who explained that Real Madrid have a ‘verbal agreement’ with Christian Eriksen and are ‘negotiating firmly’ with Tottenham Hotspur for the player’s transfer.
The Denmark international’s contract with his current employer will run down after the end of next season, and he so far hasn’t shown signs of wanting a quick renewal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on Liverpool in the Champions League final on June 1st and that will be the 27-year-old’s last appearance for the north London club, if claims are to be believed.
According to El Chiringuito, the former Ajax man will then sign for Real Madrid.
The report doesn’t provide any details on the fee Zinedine Zidane’s side need to pay for the deal to take shape.
El Chiringuito just states that ‘Eriksen will be Real Madrid after the Champions League final’.
Signing Eriksen would be a fan pleasing move, with the Tottenham player coming up high in the various polls the Spanish media do.
