Tottenham Hotspur were successful in retaining Harry Kane despite the firm efforts made by Manchester City to sign the striker in summer 2021.
Spurs had then looked at a few options to replace the England international, had he left the club. One of them was Saša Kalajdžić.
That’s according to Bild, who state the north London club have the VfB Stuttgart player on their radar this summer.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, but they have decided to look elsewhere.
Bild don’t mention whether the agent has held talks with Antonio Conte’s side, but they do state that Tottenham have the striker on their agenda, a year after looking at him as a potential replacement for Kane.
The frontman’s current deal runs until 2023 and the German club don’t want to let him leave for less than €25m this summer.
If Kalajdžić fails to get a move away from Stuttgart, then they want to extend his contract by one more year and offer him a pay rise, so the club don’t end up losing him for nothing next year.
