When Max Allegri first returned to Juventus, a number of players who were regulars under Andrea Pirlo found themselves pushed to one side.
Weston McKennie was one of those, with claims in the Italian media the manager wasn’t really interested in using the USA international, leading to rumours about an exit emerging.
Tottenham, with Fabio Paratici at the helm, were quickly linked, but a transfer never materialised, and the 23-year-old has since turned his situation around somewhat, scoring in two of the last three games, and starting three out of the last four.
That being said, he still isn’t a player Juventus are desperate to hold onto, leaving the door open for Tottenham, and now Antonio Conte, to make a move in January if they so wish.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who explain McKennie ‘is still on the list of potential exits’, which is a situation the player ‘has talked about with some of his teammates on the national team’.
As for where he could end up, it’s pointed out he is ‘followed in the Premier League and particularly from the Tottenham of Conte and Paratici’.
The midfielder is reportedly valued at €30-35m by the Serie A side, which is a figure that ‘doesn’t scare’ Tottenham, or even West Ham, who are also named as interested parties.
