Real Madrid are looking to make cash from sales.

They have a selection of fringe players they believe they can get good money for, and have already started the process by selling Marcos Llorente to neighbours Atletico for around €40m.

The player they’d most like to see the back of is Gareth Bale, but they’re getting nowhere in that regard. Despite endless links to several clubs, the former Tottenham player doesn’t appear to be going anywhere soon.

One of the players it’s believed does have a market is Dani Ceballos, and Friday’s edition of Marca says Tottenham are ‘one of those most insisting’ for the signing.

On May 21st, we covered claims from Spain that Spurs had ‘most interest’ in the player and were willing to spend €40-50m on him.

A day after that, AS reported the 22 year old is ‘one of the main objectives’ for Mauricio Pochettino’s club this summer.

The on June 6th it was claimed Tottenham are ‘leading’ the race.

In reality, there doesn’t appear to be a lot happening. Real Madrid want a quick sale, so if Spurs were really ready to spend big then there’s little reason this couldn’t have advanced already.
