It seems Porto aren’t the only club who Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on in Portugal. The London club scouts were also present at the match between Paços de Ferreira and Alves over the weekend, A Bola reports.
The Tottenham spies had a chance to watch an exciting 2-2 draw, with the away team opening up a 2-0 lead only 11 minutes into the game and the home side scoring the equaliser on 87 minutes.
A Bola doesn’t have any information on which player Tottenham were watching, and it’s hard to even guess. Players from small Portuguese clubs aren’t often linked to Premier League sides, so we can only imagine Spurs were just doing some general scouting.
Ponck and Salvador Agra scored for Aves, and Pedrinho and Luiz Phellype were responsible for the home side’s draw.
But A Bola actually picked two other players as the best for each side: midfielder Vitor Gomes for Aves and striker Bruno Moreira for Paços Ferreira.
Scouts from Borussia Dortmund, Montpellier, Anderlecht, Real Valladolid and Celta Vigo watched the game along with Tottenham.
