Tottenham Hotspur will have a scout in attendance when Club Brugge host PAOK at the Jan Breydel Stadium in the UEFA Conference League tie on Thursday.
That’s according to Het Laatste Nieuws, relayed by Voetbal Nieuws, who state that officials from several European clubs will be keeping an eye on the midweek fixture between the two clubs.
The report makes no mention of the player[s] that Tottenham scouts will be monitoring later today.
Spurs are one of the 24 clubs who will send officials to Belgium and that includes 13 Premier League sides.
Tottenham had looked at Antonio Nusa in the winter market, before Brentford overtook them in the transfer race. The Bees weren’t able to get a deal over the line and the 18-year-old winger was recently asked about the ‘concrete interest’ from Spurs in January.
On March 27th, we covered claims from Belgium that Spurs are still keen on Nusa and have started negotiations with the Jupiler Pro League side over a potential deal in the summer.
It was also explained Ange Postecoglou’s side have the Norway international’s teammate, Andreas Skov Olsen, on their radar. On Wednesday, Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayen confirmed that Olsen won’t be available for the European tie.
The Tottenham scout is likely to take a closer look at 18-year-old Nusa, along with a few other players, later today.
