The pandemic stopped officials from visiting stadiums for a while, but now that things are getting back to normal, the clash between Benfica and PSV last night had a long list of club officials attending.
And it seems that Nuno Espírito Santo is another manager who’ll want to keep an eye on his home country with a view to transfers, because according to newspaper A Bola, Spurs were at the Estádio da Luz.
Tottenham watched Benfica beat PSV 2-1, and with the Dutch side showing a strong reaction to nearly tie the match in the second half, we can probably expect a good match in the Netherlands next week.
The Tottenham scout was able to watch good performances Benfica’s Odysseas Vlachodomis and Rafa Silva, while Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo did great for the away side.
There’s one Benfica player who Tottenham were strongly linked to this summer, and that was Haris Seferovic. The striker, however, was out due to injury, and couldn’t be watched this time.
It’s been a month since the last updates about this chase came out, with local outlets being sure that Spurs were following the player, whose price would be €25m.
