With all the hubbub surrounding Harry Kane and his refusal to show up to training when he was supposed to, big questions marks have been placed over the England international’s Tottenham future.
It almost felt like it was coming, considering Manchester City seemed dead set on bringing him to the Etihad, and there have been various rumours linking Spurs with strikers.
Some felt like potential backups for Kane, while others, such as Dusan Vlahovic, were more direct replacements should the London side receive £100m+ for their star.
Then, there’s Andrea Belotti, who seems to fit in both categories, as he is enough of a protagonist at Torino and for Italy to warrant a starting spot, all the while being worse than Kane and capable of lending a helping hand to help rest the Englishman in weaker fixtures.
Either way, Tottenham are reportedly still interested in the player, having made a few attempts back when José Mourinho was in charge, as Corriere dello Sport explain the Turin side are ‘waiting for answer’ from the Italian regarding his future.
Having entered the final year of his contract, Belotti needs to decide if he wants to be sold or renew, but he has yet to choose what he wants.
In the meantime, Zenit are reported to have made a €30m bid for him, while ‘Sevilla and Tottenham are observing the situation’.
