Tottenham have seen another request for information regarding Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo rejected by the Italian club.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say the Italian side are not interested in selling the Italian this summer.
The outlet explains that there was a ‘soft approach’ from Tottenham before the two faced each other in a friendly on Saturday.
Spurs asked the Giallorossi for ‘information’ regarding the player but Jose Mourinho’s side replied as they do to any other offers, €60m or nothing.
That’s a figure Juventus considered excessive and even Tottenham ‘do not seem inclined’ to pay such a figure for the midfielder. That’s ‘despite pressure’ from Conte, who has asked those in charge at the club to get a deal over the line.
Put bluntly, there does not seem to be ‘too much margin’ for success in their efforts to get the Roma star as the Serie A side don’t want to do a deal.
The reality is that after an exit being mooted, Roma and Zaniolo are ‘close again’ and the player would like to stay in Italy for the time being anyway.
Thus, unless there are ‘crazy offers’, which neither Tottenham or Juve are inclined to make, then Zaniolo will be staying where he is.
