Each evening, journalist Jorge Nicola does a live broadcast on Youtube to talk about the Brazilian transfer market and respond to his viewers’ questions.
With São Paulo in huge need of making new signings, there were several messages about the club. One of them was regarding their chance of signing Lucas Moura from Tottenham Hotspur.
The winger started his career at the Tricolor, and already expressed his wish to return there in the future. However, it doesn’t look like it’s happening so soon.
Jorge Nicola immediately sent a message to Junior Pedroso, one of Moura’s representatives, and had a response right away. He was told that the player should stay with Spurs.
“He started at 1000km/h. Tottenham have no interest in negotiating him,” Junior Pedroso told Jorge Nicola.
Lucas Moura left São Paulo in 2013 in a €40m transfer to Paris Saint Germain. He then moved from the French side to Tottenham in a €28.4m deal in January 2018.
The winger so far has 23 goals and 19 assists in 157 appearances for the London side, and judging by his agent’s message, it seems Spurs are pretty satisfied with him in the squad.
