Tottenham are interested in a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.
That’s according to Le 10 Sport, who say the Portugal star is a player who ‘appeals’ to manager José Mourinho.
Neves has been a star at Wolves since his surprise arrival from Porto in 2017, playing a key role in guiding them out of the Championship and establishing themselves as a Premier League force.
At just 23-years-old he remains a player with huge potential and his impressive performances this season appear to have earned him an admirer.
The website claims Neves ‘particularly appeals’ to the Spurs boss and that should he move this summer, Tottenham would be his ‘preferred track’.
At this point, there is no mention of an asking price, or if Tottenham have made their interest known to Wolves, just that they have identified him as a target.
However, should they make their move, it is likely they will face stern resistance from Wolves, who will not be keen to lose one of their star players.
They will undoubtedly demand a big price for Neves, something Tottenham are unlikely to be able to match given they’ve already been forced out to take out a loan to cover costs incurred during the Coronavirus epidemic.
