Tottenham have ended negotiations with Real Sociedad over Willian José with the talks now described as ‘broken’.
Spurs were keen on the Brazilian as they look for a replacement for the injured Harry Kane and made a bid for his services last week.
That was rejected by the Spanish side, who deemed Spurs initial low offer as insulting and made it clear they wanted far more.
There was no further bid from Tottenham since the first ten days ago, although La Real insisted that today was their final deadline to discuss any move.
And according to AS, the whole negotiation has now been broken as a result of all the parties involved being unable to reach a ‘common point that would allow the agreement’.
According to the newspaper, Real Sociedad were demanding close to €30m for José, but Tottenham were unwilling to go near such a price.
That quickly led to the negotiations being ended completely, despite José efforts to try and force a move and a deal being ‘almost done’ a week ago.
A move to Tottenham is ‘totally ruled out’, leaving them to look for the striker they desperately need elsewhere and José to pick up the pieces of his ruined relationship with Real Sociedad.
