Following the decision to sack Cristian Stellini after the 6-1 loss against Newcastle United, Tottenham’s need for a new manager increased a lot more.
Ryan Mason has been placed in charge until the end of the season for the time being, and the belief is he will see out the campaign regardless of what happens.
That gives Tottenham time to find the right man for next season, and Arne Slot continues to be mentioned and commented on thanks to his great work at Feyenoord, with Algemeen Dagblad’s Sjoerd Mossou the latest, relayed by FR-Fans.
His team currently top the Eredivisie and seem well on their way to lift the trophy at the end of the season, allowing him to leave on a high for a new adventure should he wish to do so.
Well, Tottenham could offer him that, with claims he could more than double his wages in London, but Mossou doesn’t believe the manager will definitely quit.
He said: “Slot doesn’t necessarily have to leave, quite the contrary in fact. The manager feels right at home at Feyenoord and is enjoying himself. The family situation also means that a longer stay is certainly not out of the question, unless an offer comes along that he cannot refuse.”
That’s when Tottenham are mentioned and the question was whether Spurs represent such a chance for the manager.
Mossou replied: “Tottenham comes close to the offer you can’t pass up.”
