Earlier this year, Marca reported Tottenham Hotspur looked at Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in the summer transfer window.
The north London club weren’t successful in their efforts, and the 22-year-old signed an extension with Los Ches last month. His new deal will run down in 2027.
Despite the renewal, Tottenham and other clubs continue to keep an eye on the keeper.
Calciomercato have come out with a report explaining that Juventus scouts are observing the Georgia international in action for the La Liga side.
Mamardashvili’s explosion at Valencia last term has not gone unnoticed and it is likely that he will end up elsewhere. It’s claimed there is no shortage of ‘interested clubs’, but only the Old Lady and Tottenham are mentioned in the report.
Spurs are still in the picture for Gennaro Gattuso’s man, after they tried signing him in the last days of the summer window. The report adds the custodian’s release clause has been raised from €20m to €100m after he signed a new deal.
Meanwhile, Mamardashvili’s agent Levan Seturidze has revealed that he is aware of the interest his client has received from Italy and England.
“Many important teams are watching him and we have found interest from them (not only from Italian but also English teams),” Seturidze told Calciomercato.it,
“For now, our goal is Valencia, and he must do his utmost to grow even more. As for the 2023 summer transfer market, however, many things can change but for now he is the starting goalkeeper of Valencia.”
