Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici looked at Dušan Vlahović as his main target to replace Harry Kane in the summer.
Spurs didn’t end up signing the Fiorentina star following Kane’s decision to continue at the north London club, despite approaches made by Manchester City.
On Tuesday, Fiorentina chairman Rocco Commisso confirmed Vlahović has decided not to sign a new deal with the Serie A side.
This has resulted in numerous reports and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are brought back in the picture for the 21-year-old. Gazzetta dello Sport reported yesterday the English club could be given a second chance to land Vlahović.
Calciomercato have a report focusing on other suitors and Spurs are tagged at the end. It’s said the Premier League side are ‘crazy’ for the Serbia international.
Another report from the same website says Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan are working to acquire the player’s services. They then add that if Fiorentina want to sell Vlahović in the winter market, there is a club that is ahead of others.
That club, according to Calciomercato, is Tottenham, who are named as the ‘favourite’ club to sign the Fiorentina man in January.
It’s said Spurs ‘have the budget and the possibility to invest’ to secure Vlahović’s services in January. Daniel Levy wants to ‘revive’ his side following a mixed start to the season and there is belief the Serbian’s arrival can help Tottenham achieve it.
